The 12 Days of Christmas

Writer's group tonight. What does that mean? It means it's time to finish putting the polish on the rewrites of The 12 Days of Christmas I've been working on! Posting them here: All comments welcome!

This particular version was inspired when I walked into a Borders with my shopping list in hand and realized most of the titles I was looking for had a number in them somewhere-and most of my Christmas wish list was made up of books!

  1. Ugh...urg...argh....I directed a little musical once act called, "A Partridge In A Pear Tree" back in high school, and that song stays with me every time I hear it, because it's repeated five or six times throughout the play. We did everything we could to change the tune, liven it up, make the melody unrecognizable, including adding The Village People...now your bookish modification will have me singing it again all day...Well done, though, so thank you and curse you.

  2. Hah hah hah. Anytime darling. Anytime. We didn't do musicals, although I did get to play the crabby wife in a drama Christmas production once. Something about a radio station? Don't remember.
