Is There Anything Better Than Hot Tea and Cool Friends? Yeah, We Didn't Think So Either.

I'm sitting here, in the dark, with the laptop backlit and a cat pretending to snooze at my feet. All in all, not a bad way to spend the evening. But there's something even cooler than snuggly cats and the power of the Internet sitting at your fingertips, and that's having the chance to share those experiences with friends.

Welcome to Tea's 4 Two, where Rae and Vee and anyone else that wants to join in get together to talk movies, food, books, politics, husbands, children jobs and tea. We hope you'll join us often. After all, tea's 4 two...but tea 4 three is so much better!

  1. Today's tea- simple green with honey. I'd like to begin by telling the world that Rae rocks. This in no way compares to the mind-blowing experience that it having tea with her in person, but it's a fine, fine way to bridge the hundreds of miles inconveniently preventing her from passing the honey in person.

    Gorgeous backdrop, by the way.

  2. Thanks! Not sure why, but it worked for me. Today's tea was Good Earth chai with just a shot of sugar. I was at work, had slightly limited resources. I need to take in my loose leaf and tea ball and introduce everyone to the wonder that is real tea.

  3. Loose leaf tea has a freshness one can't imagine with the addition of extending the ritual of preparation.

...having said that, today's fare was instant coffee. Blarg.

  4. LOL! Don't feel bad, coffee was definitely the order of the day around here too. We drove L out to my aunt's, who lives about an hour away, then hit bad weather coming home. So it was late and I was over-caffeinated. Bed at 4=Coffee at 11. No questions asked :-)

  6. And then the days flew, also no questions asked. Finally, tea and sanity return. Earl Grey with honey and, due to sleepy autopilot, milk. Reminded me of being 8 years old....

It's almost time to restock, but I'm scared to go into the jazzy tea shop at the mall alone. The staff tend to glare and look moody, but, more than that, I fear that I will go in and lose myself and too many hours just trying to decide what to take home...thereby earning the hatred of the staff. Maybe if I have some tea immediately before going in...Any recommendations? I need to get caffeinated and decaf.

  7. Golden Monkey tea from Teavana at 5pm = no sleep until 3am, but it was a very smooth and calm alertness.
